    Christian Doig, widow of a manufacturer of 43 High Street, Rothesay, died on 6/8/1860 aged 71. Died of old age and general debility. Buried in Rothesay burial ground.

    1841 census has the following entry:
    High Street, Rothesay (no number given)
    Christian Doig, age 50, Cotton manufacturer
    Christian Doig, age 20
    William Doig, age 16
    Elisabeth Doig, age 15

    Some of these ages are slightly wrong.

    Christian Doig was obviously widowed before this.
    1851 census does not list them at 43 High Street.

    Christian married David Doig on 13 Jun 1815 in Audeston, Glasgow. David was born before 1795; died before 1841. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
